The scene is a Supermarine Walrus making a very low pass over the entrance to the pier at Lee-on-the-Solent. The period is just before the pier entrance was demolished to make way for the Art Deco styled tower that would be erected in its place in 1935. At this time the station was still in use as shown by the arrival of a train from Gosport on the extreme left. Several of the buildings thankfully remain and provide a reminder of how this area looked all those years ago.
