The Square Tower, Cathedral, Hot Walls and some building fronts remain. The water isolating "Point or Spice Island" is visible in the foreground. The gate was demolished about 1884 and some of it was relocated elsewhere until it was set in the position we see it in today at the entrance to the sports ground in Burnaby Road. A small section of the gate wall remains in its original location and has provided the reference for the stonework that has taken so long to depict here accurately. The gunner in the foreground is standing at a location that still exists. I have replicated the stonework at this point.
