The mast display at HMS St Vincent. The view is from behind the cadet at the top known as the "Button Boy". I watch this as a child and always feared for the person at the top as they appeared to just stand there without support. I had learnt in the research for this painting that the lightning conductor was used by the Button Boy by clamping onto it with the knees. The establishment closed in 1967 and is now the site of St Vincent School.
